Our Hampshire sailing charters start on the beautiful Beaulieu River. Choose a four-hour introduction, a longer Solent adventure, a sunset celebration or a wildlife-focused Sea Safari. Dale takes the helm and Rachel looks after your group, bringing the personal hospitality at the heart of Big Cat Boat Charters.

Meet the people behind RaRa
For more than twenty years, Dale and Rachel dreamed of owning a boat and exploring beyond the familiar. RaRa became that dream: a Lagoon 39 catamaran brought home from Greece over more than 3,000 nautical miles. Today, that love of the sea shapes every welcome aboard.

Sailing charter questions
Where do your sailing charters depart from?
RaRa is based on the Beaulieu River in Hampshire, at Gins Farm Clubhouse, St Leonards Cottages, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, SO42 7XG. We confirm your meeting point and departure arrangements before your charter.
Is the boat private to our group?
Yes. Each experience includes exclusive use of RaRa for your group of up to eight guests, with a professional skipper and host.
Do we need sailing experience?
No sailing experience is required. Dale skippers RaRa and Rachel hosts, so you can relax and enjoy your private day on the Solent.
Can we choose our route?
We discuss your preferences before the charter and shape the itinerary around your group, the experience duration, weather and tides. The Needles, western Solent and peaceful anchorages are possible starting points, rather than guaranteed routes.
How does payment work?
Book your sailing experience online with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% is payable on the day by cash, card or transfer, or earlier by prior arrangement.
Can you arrange a bespoke day or longer holiday?
Yes. Contact Rachel to discuss a completely tailored day or longer escape, including your preferred destinations, duration and special touches.
What happens if the weather affects our trip?
The skipper assesses weather and tidal conditions and may adapt the route for safety. Please read our Charter Booking Terms for the cancellation and weather provisions.
