Booking Confirmed – What Happens Next

Thank you for booking your private charter with Big Cat Boat Charters.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you aboard RaRa for a memorable day on the water.

This page explains everything you need to know before your charter and helps avoid unnecessary follow-up emails.

✅ Your Booking & Deposit

Your booking is now confirmed, and your 30% deposit has been successfully received. This secures:

  • Your chosen date
  • Exclusive use of the yacht
  • Your professional skipper and host

Pre-Charter Planning Call

As part of every booking, we will arrange a telephone call, video call, or in-person meeting with you prior to sailing. This allows us to get to know your group, understand your preferences, and tailor a bespoke itinerary to ensure your time on the water is exactly how you’d like it.

You’ll receive an automated confirmation email shortly — please keep this for your records.

💳 Balance Payment

The remaining 70% balance can be paid in whichever way suits you best:

  • On the day of your charter, or
  • In advance, if you prefer

All payments are:

  • Inclusive of VAT
  • Processed securely via Stripe
  • Fully receipted

If you’d like to pay the balance in advance, just let us know and we will send you a secure Stripe payment link.

🌊 Tides, Weather & Your Bespoke Itinerary

Every charter is planned carefully around conditions to ensure the best possible experience.

Tides

  • Departure and return times may be adjusted slightly to suit local tides
  • Any changes will always be discussed with you in advance

Weather

  • We monitor weather conditions closely right up to the day
  • If conditions are unsuitable, we’ll work with you to adjust timings, refine the plan, or reschedule where appropriate

We’ll be in contact soon to discuss tides, weather conditions, and to shape a bespoke itinerary around your group.

📍 Departure Location

Charters are based on the Beaulieu River, with departures also available from most Solent ports, including:

  • Lymington
  • Cowes
  • Yarmouth
  • Southampton

Your exact boarding location and arrival instructions will be confirmed closer to your charter date.

👋 On the Day

You’ll be personally welcomed aboard by Rachel and Dale, your hosts for the day.

Included with every charter:

  • Tea, coffee, soft drinks and water
  • Fresh fruit and light nibbles
  • Paddleboards, snorkelling equipment and swim stops (conditions permitting)
  • A relaxed, private experience tailored entirely to your group

No sailing experience is required — just come ready to enjoy the day.
